The Kia Sportage and the Kia Sportage wheels have been around since 1993. They were manufactured until 2002, took a two year hiatus, then Kia started producing this car & the Kia wheels again in 2004.
It’s a compact Crossover SUV that was once a mini SUV in 1993-2002. The first generation was made with the Mazda Bongo engineering base platform in mind. It has the same engine and even has the same transmission. It was either sold in a 4-door or a 2-door soft top convertible.
When it came back after its two-year hiatus, it was built on the Elantra-based platform. The people who really liked the first generation said that the second generation was much bigger than the first one and that it doesn’t have the off-road capability that the other one had. The only thing that I don’t think they should complain about is the 2006 Kia Sportage wheels – they’re nice, right?
Gone off-roading,
Mykalanne.
