The Isuzu VehiCROSS was a radically designed compact SUV that began production in 1997. Although the vehiCROSS shares many components with the Trooper, it has much more plastic cladding and has a computer controlled four wheel drive system that it has been highly regarded for. The three door SUV was powered with a 3.5L V6 engine coupled with a four speed automatic transmission. Isuzu purposefully manufactured a very limited amount of these vehicles with less than 4,200 sold in the US and under 6,000 manufactured total and was discontinued in 2001.
